as ... as / than など
like ... better / one of the + 最上級 / much + 比較級などで、比較を詳しく表します。
説明
比較の発展表現は、好み・範囲内の一つ・差の大きさを詳しく伝えます。
「コーヒーよりお茶のほうが好き」「最も人気のある映画のひとつ」「ずっと速い」のように、好みや差の大きさを伝えたいときに使います。
like ... better、one of the + 最上級 + 複数名詞、much + 比較級などのよく使う形があります。
2つが比例して変わる the 比較級 …, the 比較級 … や、「〜の何倍」を表す倍数表現もあります。

2つのものを比べて好みを言うときは like A better than B、3つ以上や全体の中で一番好きなものを言うときは like ... the best を使います。
「2つなら better、全体なら best」と場面で使い分けるのがポイントです。

one of the + 最上級 + 複数名詞を使って「最も〜なもののひとつ」が言えるようになる
「最も〜なもののひとつ」と言いたいときは one of the + 最上級 + 複数名詞 を使います。
「ひとつ」なので one を使いますが、候補が複数あることを示すために、後ろの名詞は必ず 複数形 にします。
例文
Tokyo is one of the biggest cities in the world.
東京は世界で最も大きい都市のひとつです。
This is one of the most famous paintings in Japan.
これは日本で最も有名な絵画のひとつです。
much / far / a lot などを比較級の前に置いて差の大きさを強めた文が言えるようになる
比較級の前に much / far / a lot などを置くと、「ずっと〜」「はるかに〜」のように差の大きさを強めることができます。
これらの語は比較級の前に置きます。比較級の後ろや much more の間には入りません。

the 比較級 …, the 比較級 … で「〜すればするほど」が言えるようになる
2つのことが比例して変わる関係は the + 比較級 …, the + 比較級 … で表します。「〜すればするほど…」という意味です。
前半と後半の両方の比較級に the を付けるのがポイントです。
例文
The more you practice, the better you become.
練習すればするほど、上手になります。
The higher you climb, the colder it gets.
高く登るほど、寒くなります。
倍数表現（X times as … as）で「〜の何倍」が言えるようになる
「Bの何倍〜」と大きさや数を比べるときは X times as + 原級 + as B を使います。
2倍は twice as … as、3倍以上は three times as … as のように言います。比較級ではなく、as と as のあいだは原級のままにします。
例文
This bridge is twice as long as that one.
この橋はあの橋の2倍の長さです。
My room is three times as big as yours.
私の部屋はあなたの部屋の3倍の広さです。
間違えやすいポイント

one of the + 最上級の後ろは、候補が複数あるので複数名詞にします。
This book is more much interesting than that one.

比較級を強める much は、more interesting の前に置きます。

2つを比べるときは better を使います。the best は3つ以上や全体の中で一番を言うときに使います。

「〜すればするほど…」は前半と後半の両方の比較級に the を付けます。the を落とさず The more ..., the more ... にします。
This box is twice bigger than that one.
This box is twice as big as that one.
「〜の何倍」は as ... as の形で表します。twice の後ろは比較級 bigger ではなく、as big as にします。
