「仮説を立てる」は英語で hypothesize。「hypothesize」の過去形・過去分詞は「hypothesized」(仮説を立てた・仮定した)、三人称単数現在形は「hypothesizes」、現在分詞（ing形）は「hypothesizing」です。動詞として「仮説を立てる、仮定する」の意味で使われます。進行形は be動詞 + hypothesizing の形で使います。
